First Degree (Shoden in Japanese, meaning "Elementary/Entry Teachings"). This course teaches people with no prior experience a healing system where the only tool required are your hands. the system that can be practised anytime, anywhere on anybody so they can consciously reduce stress level and deal with physical challenges with confidence. First Degree Reiki will set you on a journey of self-discovery. As healing exists within each person, the ultimate healing tool is self-practice. After finishing First Degree Reiki Course you will be able to treat yourself and other people if they are physically present. Theoretical part covers: History / origins of Reiki Benefits of Reiki Scientific research about Reiki What can be treated with Reiki Reiki ideals / Precepts / Gokai (guidance to follow in order to achieve happiness) Practical part covers: 4 Reiki attunements /Reiju / spiritual blessing, initial experience of working with energy consciously Meditation / Breathing techniques / Kokyu Ho (grounding) Hands on Healing / Palm healing / Tenohira: first self-treatment, then treating others Certificate and a concise manual are provided.
